Diigo

Diigo like Delicious are pretty lame. I do not feel that they serve a great purpose. Many ning's or social network pages have link list capabilities. I think this is more part of the growing trend of unorganized tools that allow more ads to get in your head. I axed nings before because you can accomplish the same things with out of the box social networks.

So here is the problem. We need more innovation with integration. I think I'm pretty tired of all the half baked solutions.

Diigo is not just another social bookmarking service, it offers powerful web annotations and lots more. So, as you read on the web, instead of just bookmarking, you can highlight portions of web pages that are of particular interest to you. You can also attach sticky notes to specific parts of web pages. Unlike most other web "highlighters" that merely clip, Diigo highlights and sticky notes are persistent in the sense that whenever you return to the original web page, you will see your highlights and sticky notes superimposed on the original page, just what you would expect if you highlighted or wrote on a book!

We invite you to check out Diigo's capabilities by taking a look of our intro video, visiting our "Learn More" http://www.diigo.com/learn_more, in addition to the new Educator Account http://help.diigo.com/Diigo_Educator_Account_-_FAQ

Hope to welcome you to the growing Diigo knowledge community!

Maggie, I do not doubt the cool features that Diigo has but... No one is working together, even though that is what everyone preaches. A person should be able to go to there main page and not have to log into multiple different applications to accomplish all of these task. Yes I agree the tool bars are a start, but 2.0 is about ease and collaboration. I think it is time for the creators of these tools to make the tools collaborate not leave that up to the users. Many of the new tools that support 2.0 technologies conflict and do not play nice. Show me what steps that Diigo has taken to increase collaboration between other tools.
